These terms apply to smilewisen.com, the website of Smilewise Network. By using the site, writing to us or signing up for reminders, you agree to them. If you do not, please stop using the site.
What Smilewise provides
Smilewise publishes general dental information, explains the usual stages of dental care, and offers optional check-up reminders and dental care notes by text or email. The site is free to use.
Not dental care
Smilewise is not a dental practice and employs no dentists. It does not examine, diagnose or treat anyone, prescribe anything, book appointments or recommend any practice. Nothing on the site, in an email or in a text is advice about your own teeth or a replacement for an examination by a licensed dentist.
In a dental emergency, contact a dentist. For swelling that is spreading, a fever, trouble swallowing or breathing, or bleeding that will not stop, go to an emergency room.
Using our forms
Our forms are for people aged 18 and over. Give only details that are yours and correct, and keep medical records, insurance numbers and payment details out of every form. You may ask us at any time to correct your details or end a sign-up.
SMS text messaging
Program description
Smilewise check-up reminders is a program of recurring automated marketing text messages sent directly by Smilewise Network to people who have opted in. The texts carry reminders to book a routine dental check-up, short dental care notes on the topic the person chose, news of new guides on smilewisen.com, and replies about a sign-up or message. Every text opens with [Smilewise Network]. A Smilewise text never gives advice about your own teeth and never asks for health or payment details.
How you opt in
To opt in, you type your own mobile number on the Check-up reminders page, the home page or the contact form and tick the text message box yourself. The box is never ticked for you, and only the owner of a number may agree to texts sent to it.
Consent
Consent is not a condition of purchase or service. Everything on the site, and every reply from us, is available to you whether or not you accept texts.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies, up to 4 messages per month.
Message and data rates
Message and data rates may apply under your mobile plan. Smilewise makes no charge for its texts.
Opting out
Reply STOP at any time to opt out and cancel. You will receive a single confirmation and no further messages. Asking us by phone or email ends them too.

Carriers
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Privacy
Your mobile information will not be shared with any third party for marketing purposes. Our SMS terms and Privacy policy describe how your number and your consent are held.
Site content
The words, layout and images of smilewisen.com belong to Smilewise or are used under licence. You may read, print and share pages for your own use, provided you credit the site.
Accuracy and liability
We work to keep each page accurate and plainly worded, but dental guidance changes and every mouth is different, so we cannot promise that a page is complete or right for you. As far as the law allows, Smilewise is not liable for any loss that follows from using the site or from acting on its general information.
When these terms change
We may update these terms. The date above shows the version in force, and using the site after an update means you accept it.
