How Smilewise check-up reminders by text work, and how to stop them.
The check-up reminders program
Smilewise Network, at smilewisen.com, sends recurring automated marketing text messages to people who enter their own mobile number on the Check-up reminders page, the home page or the contact form and tick the text message box. The texts are reminders to book a routine check-up, short dental care notes on the topic chosen, news of new guides on the site, and messages about the sign-up itself, including the confirmation and the answers to HELP and STOP. Each begins [Smilewise Network].
Sent by Smilewise, about Smilewise’s own pages
Smilewise keeps your number and your consent to itself and never gives them to a dental practice or any other business. A text from Smilewise is general information. It never tells you what is wrong with your teeth, never books anything for you, and never asks for health records, insurance numbers or payment details. If a message that claims to come from Smilewise asks for any of those, do not answer it; call us.
Opting in
We collect mobile numbers only on the Check-up reminders page, the home page form and the contact form, each with a text message box you tick yourself. Once you opt in, Smilewise sends one confirmation text.
Consent is not a condition of purchase or service.
How often
Message frequency varies, up to 4 messages per month.
